This is one post I’ve been looking forward to writing and sharing with you… it’s my Christmas gift guide! Full of ideas and inspiration to spoil the ones you love this Christmas, and all of the gifts are affordable too.
Keep reading to find out what made my gift guide list this year…
This Christmas gift guide contains a mix of gifts that I’ve purchased myself and ones kindly sent from lovely brands and PR companies. As always, I only recommend items that I’ve tried out and love or would personally recommend.
Each gift has been handpicked to be included and I hope you find some ideas here for your friends, family or loved ones.

For stylish tech lovers
If you’re not familiar with Tile, it’s an easy way of finding just about anything. You can attach one to your keys, your bicycle, anything that you don’t want to lose. And if you do lose it, you can find it again using your phone. It works the other way around too, so if you’ve misplaced your phone you can use Tile to locate it again. Tile Style builds on the success of the earlier version, with enhanced range, loudness and it’s waterproof too.
This gift would be perfect for: style lovers, tech enthusiasts, and that friend who always loses their keys (or their car).
Tile Style retails for around £30 and can be bought directly from the Tile website.
For stationery lovers
I spotted this in Tk Maxx a few weeks ago and thought it’d make such a lovely gift. So much so that it’s made its way on to my personal gift list. This desk calendar by Caroline Gardner features beautiful quotes for each month, for that little bit of inspiration or motivation for your friend that’s at their desk all day.
The calendar is really affordable too, making it a great option for the office secret santa or a stocking filler for a friend.
A lovely gift for: stationery lovers, office superheroes, your secret santa.
This desk calendar by Caroline Gardner retails for £7.99 and can be found at many retailers, including Amazon*.
A stocking filler for DIY fans, fixers and the kids
The wonderful, always-useful Sugru is back with a new formula meaning it’s now suitable for kids to use too. Think of Sugru as your DIY and fixing-things BFF, it’s the world’s first mouldable glue and you can fix, make or create a whole lot with it. It’ll stick to lots of surfaces, so whether your phone charger needs some TLC or you’re trying out a kids craft idea from Pinterest, it always comes in handy.
Pictured here is the classic colours 8-pack in the new family-friendly formula, but they stock other packs too – including blacks, whites, natural and new colour packs.
The perfect gift or stocking filler for: the kids in the family and that one person who’s always tinkering with a new project.
This 8-pack from Sugru retails for £12.99 and can be found directly on the Sugru website.
For interiors and design enthusiasts
This decoration gift set by Hay, via Amara, caught my eye and I knew it had to feature in this year’s gift guide. It’s a beautiful combination of style, good design and usefulness. Featuring a miniature sand timer, hexagonal tray and playing cards set, it’s something to be enjoyed and played with but looks just as good sitting pretty on top of a table too. The dark, almost ink-coloured tray is solid, heavy and beautifully-made, as are the sand timer and playing cards.
A wonderful gift for: friends who love to host dinner parties, and anyone who appreciates great design.
This Hay decoration gift set retails for £35 and can be bought from Amara.
For those who love a scented home
Next up is this lovely Assam and White Cedar Diffuser by Wax Lyrical, a tea-inspired scent that’s perfect for making your home smell fresh and crisp. The fragrance features lily, cedarwood and assam, with a slight citrus scent too – it’s a scent that’s new to me but in my hallway is a gorgeous welcome home when you walk through the door.
The perfect gift for: friends and family who love their home to smell cool and crisp.
This diffuser set retails for £37 and can be bought directly on the Wax Lyrical website.
For a little luxury and relaxation
Also by Wax Lyrical is this Darjeeling and Damask Rose candle. What first caught my eye was the colour of the glass jar, and the scents sounded like they’d be a beautiful combination. In person it smells wonderful, warm yet fresh, and rich yet floral too. It’s described as featuring oud, rose, geranium, jasmin, close and praline, with a rich velvety base – and the combination makes for a lovely, distinctive scent. It’s the kind of candle that’s perfect for burning while you indulge in one of those well-earned soaks in the bath.
A lovely gift for: a friend that loves making their home cosy, or your mum who deserves a relaxing evening.
The Darjeeling and Damask Rose candle retails for £22 and can be found on the Wax Lyrical website.
For foodies and urban gardeners
I think this is one my favourite gift ideas this year, especially as we’re about to move into a new home. This Grow Your Own Basil kit by Orla Kiely, via Amara, makes a lovely gift for friends who love to spend time in the kitchen – or for those who want to experience that gardening experience but don’t have a garden or outdoor space.
Within the kit you’ll find soil, an adorable packet of seeds, and instructions on how to grow your own basil. As with all Orla Kiely products, this stem design pot will look beautiful in anyone’s kitchen. If basil’s not your giftee’s thing, there’s a whole range of herbs available.
The perfect gift for: friends who live in apartments or who love cooking and enjoying good food.
This Grow Your Own Basil Set by Orla Kiely retails for £17 and is available at Amara.
For beauty lovers
Next up we have two of my top, affordable picks for beauty lovers this Christmas. Starting off we have the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge Set. After using their brushes for a while I thought I’d try the much-loved beauty sponge for applying foundation and it gives such a lovely, smooth finish. This set comes with different sized sponges to make applying anywhere easy, and means you’ve always got a backup while you’re waiting for one to dry after cleaning.
If you’re looking for an affordable yet highly-rated beauty gift for a friend or maybe a family member who’s new to make up, this Colour Me Buff palette by W7 has great reviews and features a lovely, natural range of shades that are pigmented too. At under £5 it makes a perfect stocking filler, or something you could combine with other beauty gifts in a hamper.
Both of these would make lovely gifts for: beauty lovers, or as stocking fillers for family and friends.
For beautiful tresses
You can’t go wrong with accessories for Christmas, especially when they’re stylish and on-trend. This Open Circle Hair Clip by ASOS is one of my favourite buys and looks beautiful in person. The geometric, round design is something a little different from the usual hair clips or bows, and it’s also easy for anyone to wear without looking too ‘young’.
A lovely gift for: your teenage sister or your BFF.
For sharing a little wisdom and a few laughs
This is one of my favourite gift ideas for this Christmas. Wise (Ish) Words is billed as a book designed for 8-16 year olds to help them make better mistakes, and it’s a wonderful idea that makes for a thoughtful and memorable gift. The book is fully customisable – you can choose from three prompts/quotes per page or create your own, so you can personalise it for the young person you’re gifting it to with memories and their own experiences. The graphics and illustrations are beautiful and it’s a book that will be loved and enjoyed throughout the years.
A thoughtful gift for: a younger sibling, your growing children or a family friend who you love and care for.
Wise(Ish) Words retails for £23.95 for the softcover to £39.95 for the deluxe hardback and is available on The Book of Everyone’s website.
A Star Wars fan’s perfect companion
With Star Wars: The Last Jedi hitting cinemas soon, this rollerball pen from Sheaffer would make a lovely gift for any fan. The gel ink pen writes smoothly, and looks great presented in a box like this one. Both Sheaffer and Cross do a whole range of Star Wars pens and notebooks too, so if Darth Vader isn’t your (or their) thing then how about R2-D2 or Yoda?
A perfect gift for: Star Wars fans, or people who appreciate good quality stationery.
For bold tee fans
Do you know someone who loves a customised t-shirt, or is always rocking a statement T? The team at Printsome can help with their fast t-shirt printing and they also sell accessories too – so if you’d love to design and print a tote bag for your BFFs you can. Personalised gifts are always popular, so if you’re creative this would make a great and distinctive gift for Christmas.
A lovely gift for: Creative people who want to design something for friends and your BFF who loves a bold t-shirt
You can create your own personalised items from £4.72 over at Printsome.
