Christmas is here. It’s a time of good food, good people and good times. It’s a time to celebrate and indulge in the things we love. For some of us that’s Christmas movies all day long, our favourite tipple or all the delicious food of the festive season.
If you’re anything like me, that time between Christmas and New Year often leads to changes. Ideas and inspiration for the year ahead, celebrating the good things in life, and making New Year’s Resolutions and goals for the year ahead.
If one of your goals for 2018 is to eat healthier, see the benefits of regular exercise, or look after your body and digestive system then this infographic from Hartmann Direct may be just the thing.
I’ve included a snippet below, but you can click here to view the full infographic.

Within the infographic you’ll find information on different food groups, the benefits of exercise, and some statistics about our health as a nation. There’s also some useful exercises listed for that one thing that as mothers we’ve heard about but probably don’t pay enough attention to – pelvic floor exercises.
Here are some of the standout statistics for me:
- With regular exercise you have up to an 83% lower risk of developing osteoarthritis and up to 68% lower risk of developing a hip fracture
- You also reduce your risk of developing certain cancers, with a decreased risk of being affected by colon cancer or breast cancer
- Exercise is also a wonderful solution for those of us with depression and reduces your risk of being affected by it

Thank you to Hartmann Direct for creating this infographic.
