If you have a passion for health and fitness and you’d like to make a name for yourself in the industry, one way to do this is by becoming a health and fitness influencer. This means having pages dedicated to health and fitness on various social platforms, especially platforms like Instagram and Youtube.

However, although there are many influencers out there, it can be quite difficult to know where to start and to get it right. Plus, you’re going to need a lot of patience if you’re going to stick it out! Here, we talk about becoming a fitness influencer and how hard it actually is.

Write A Bio Explaining Who You Are

Your bio should be noteworthy and memorable, explaining to people who you are. Now, it’s important to remember that if you’re not qualified to give out fitness advice, you shouldn’t claim to be. You should also be very careful about what you tell people, just in case it comes back to haunt you. You can become a mobile personal trainer here if you do want to get the qualifications to give people advice.

Share Stories To Connect On An Emotional Level

Stories help you to connect with your following on an emotional level, so write captivating captions that give people a real glimpse into your life.

Make Your Feed Look Cohesive And Appealing

It seems a little superficial, but having a cohesive looking feed will make your profile more appealing for people to follow and look at. Use the same sort of filters!

Post Consistently

Consistent posting will improve your engagement rates, but do make sure you’re focusing on quality posts and not quantity. Come up with a posting schedule you can stick to!

Get A Business Account And Pay Attention To Demographics

A business account can show that you’re serious about helping people and becoming an influencer. Not only that, you can pay attention to statistics and demographics and get a better idea of who’s visiting your profile, the posts that are most popular, and more.

Use Hashtags

Hashtags will help other people to find your posts. Be smart about the ones you use, though; generic hashtags will have too many other pictures and you probably won’t get found.

Show Off Your Personality Using Instagram Stories

Using instagram stories will help you to show off your personality and share relevant information. You can use this to become more of an expert in your niche if you share helpful information often enough.

Never Buy Followers

Buying followers may seem tempting, but it just looks odd. Plus, you’ll likely end up with low engagement, which looks strange when you have a high follower count. People will know your followers are fake and you won’t come across as authentic!

Becoming a fitness influencer isn’t easy, and you do have to be consistent. However, you will definitely be able to build up your followers with the advice here. Make sure you aim to bring value to others and not just value to yourself!
