It’s common knowledge that studying one profession can often lead to benefits for another. This is because many traits are shared among professions even if they aren’t directly linked. One of the most beneficial degrees to study would be a law-related one. This is because studying the law and related legal processes can help you develop many unique transferable skills that are desired in many different industries. In this article, we’ll be covering just four of those transferable traits.

1. Presentation skills

Whether it’s presenting yourself or presenting your thoughts and ideas, a legal degree can help teach you various presentation skills that can be applied to other industries.

2. Time management qualities

Managing your time is important regardless of your career choices. Studying law can help you learn to manage your time efficiently so that you’re as productive as possible.

3. Analytical prowess

Law teaches you to be far more analytical of situations so that you can draw a larger picture and figure out different solutions based on the circumstances. You’ll be far more efficient at gathering data and forming conclusions based on your own analysis, and this is a transferable skill that can affect many different career choices.

4. Problem solving ability

Lastly, those analytical qualities can also be extended to problem solving. Since you’ll be more efficient at analysing a problem, you’ll also find it easier to solve them.

As shown below, a Master of Laws degree has many positive benefits and there are plenty of reasons to study for one.
